Consolers of the Lonely is the second album of The Raconteurs. It will be released on March 25, 2008 on Warner Bros. Records/XL Recordings. It will be available on all formats including CD, vinyl, and MP3. A video for the first single from the album, "Salute Your Solution" will likely be released on the same day. It is unique in that the band has done no promotion previous to the album's release, and its existence was only confirmed a week before its release (similar to Radiohead's In Rainbows).

The sound of Howlin' Pelle Almqvist of The Hives walking into a room will be featured on one of the songs on the album.

The band premiered "Five on the Five" during their last tour.
