Nicole Franklin is a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, portrayed by actress Tessa James from early 2008.
Information
Nicole was conceived by teenage parents Roman Harris and Nat Franklin, and raised by her maternal grandparents, she views her mother Nat as a older sister and didn't meet her father, until her early teens, this was because when she was conceived her grandparents sent Nat away so that Roman couldn't contact them.[1]
Nicole arrived in Summer Bay on April 18, 2008 to live with her father, Roman. She has also wooed him into enrolling her in Summer Bay High which meant that she intended on staying for quite some time.
Initially, Nicole came across as a snobby, materialistic, rich girl. One of her first acts was to make a $200 bet with Aden Jefferies, a troubled teenager who shared the house with her and Roman, that she could get local devout Christian, Geoff Campbell into bed. This behaviour ultimatelyplayed havoc with Geoff's relationship with Melody Jones. Geoff decided to gain a measure of revenge by inviting some friends over for kissing lessons (which Nicole had been offering to Geoff at school) and taking photos.
Dejected and Humilated, Nicole tried to make amends with all of those she hurt.
After being grounded by Roman for helping Melody contact Geoff against her mother's wishes, Nicole threw a house party. The party coincided with the grand opening of Summer Bay's new teen hangout; The Den. As a result, many kids had received SMS messages and went onto the party at Roman's. Things began to get out of hand when gatecrashers from as far as Mangrove River came to the party. With the help Aden, Nicole managed to get everyone out and clean up before Roman came home. Or so it would seem. Axel Hay, a friend of Aden's had spoiled the Ruse by coming downstairs and asking where the party went.
Nicole was punished by being forced to work at the diner and she received a lecture from Roman about how her party hurt Roman's friend and business partner Leah Patterson-Baker's opening of the Den. Nicole later apologised to Leah.
Nicole is currently dating Elliot Gillien
