Tessa James (born October 17, 1991 in Melbourne , Victoria ) is an Australian actress , best known for her roles in the soap operas Neighbors and Home and Away .

life and career

Tessa James was born in October 1991 in the capital of the Australian state of Victoria . She first attended Park Orchards Primary School in Park Orchards and then moved to the Methodist Ladies' College in Melbourne's Kew district . In 2008 she left college to pursue her acting career.

She got her first role in 2006 in the popular television series Neighbors . She played there from August 2006 on the recurring supporting role of the blind Anne Baxter , the biological daughter of Kim ( Brett Swain ) and Janelle Timmins ( Nell Feeney ). She left the series in July 2007 while her character moved to Cairns with the rest of the family . After that, she was in the lead role of Celestine in Fantasy - Short Hugo front of the camera. In early 2008, she was cast for the role of Nicole Franklin in the award-winning soap opera Home and Away , in which she first appeared on television in April 2008. After over three years in this role, she announced her exit from the series in March 2011. In 2012 she starred in the drama Beaconsfield as Lauren Kielmann , the daughter of the miner Larry Knight ( Simon Lyndon ), who died after a mine collapsed.

In December 2011, Tessa James married NRL rugby player Nate Myles, with whom she had been dating since January 2011.
