Carson Jones Daly (born June 22, 1973) is an American television host. Before his present position as host of NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly, Daly was a prominent VJ on MTV's Total Request Live.

Personal life

Born in Santa Monica, California, Daly attended Santa Monica High School. He is of Irish descent[1] and has worked with Guinness on "Proposition 3-17" to make Saint Patrick's Day an official holiday.[2]

Daly's mother, Pattie Daly Caruso, is a breast cancer survivor who was honored at Lifetime’s Breast Cancer Heroes Luncheon in 2004. She and Carson have become breast cancer activists.[3] He has been spotted wearing Livestrong bracelets on numerous occasions.

Last Call

On January 7, 2002, Daly began hosting a thirty-minute late-night talk show on NBC called Last Call with Carson Daly.
