Humberto Quintero [oom-BERR-to kin-TAY-ro] (born August 2, 1979 in Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball catcher in the Houston Astros organization. Quintero was outrighted to the Round Rock Express in June of 2007 after Eric Munson was promoted to the Houston Astros. Previously, Quintero played with the San Diego Padres (2003-04). He bats and throws right-handed.

One of eight San Diego catchers behind the plate in 2003-04, Baseball America ranked Quintero number 19 in the Padres farm system. He made two trips to the Padres in 2004, starting 19 games. He went 9-for-18 in his first five games after his first recall from Triple-A Portland Beavers, on June 21.

Quintero was sent to the Houston Astros in April 2005.
