Argenis Diaz (born February 12, 1987, Guatire, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball short stop. He is currently a member of the Boston Red Sox' 40-man roster and most recently played with the Hawaii Winter Baseball leagues' Honolulu Sharks.

Career

He was acquired by the Boston Red Sox organization in July 2003 as an international free agent. He started his professional career in 2006 by playing with the Gulf Coast Red Sox

In 2007 Diaz played for A Greenville Drive, batting .279 in 405 at-bats. The Boston Red Sox bought his contract from Greenville on November 20, 2007 and was invited to spring training by the Red Sox.
