Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ (born 27 October 1983 in Adana) is a Turkish actor and male model.

Early Life

Tatlıtuğ was born in Adana in southern Turkey to a family of five children. Kıvanç studied at Yenice Özel Çağ Lisesi where he excelled in basketball. His family later moved to İstanbul so his father could receive treatment for a heart ailment. In İstanbul, he joined the Ülkerspor sports club as a basketball player and model.

Career

Tatlıtuğ was recruited by a modeling agency after his mother sent them pictures of him. He competed in and won the Best Model Of The World modeling pageant in 2002. Since then, he has worked as a professional model and actor.

The blond, blue-eyed actor starred as the character Mehmet in Gümüş in 2005; Mehmet became Mohannad in the wildly popular Arabic language soap opera version, Noor. The AlArab Online stated that the actor became "a heart-throb for many Arab women."[1]بب

Personal life

Kivanc has been dating Miss World 2002 and actress Azra Akin since 2002. Now kivanc and azra akin are getting married next year.

Gümüş

In 2005, the Turkish Soap Opera was released in its homeland hoping to be a success. Unfortunetly, that didn't come true until Gumus, or most famously known as "Noor", was released to the Arab World. The Series, filmed three years ago, was broadcasted on MBC in a dubbed version, obliging to religious beliefs, in 2007 - 2008. The women of the Arab World fell in love with Muhanad, Kivanc's Character, as well as his wealthy family and especially his strong and wise wife Noor. Not only was his wife and family admired by all, but his looks, flooded by his ocean blue eyes and glorious blonde hair.
