Alexandru Manta (born Bucharest, 7 June 1977) is a Romanian rugby union footballer.

He's been playing at France at several years, and already played at Terrasson (2001/2002), Stade Aurillacois (2002/2003), Bègles-Bordeaux (2003/2004), Section Paloise (2004/2005 to 2005/2006) and Castres Olympique (2006/2007). He currently plays for CA Brive.

Manta, since his debut game in 1996, with Belgium, holds 27 caps for Romania, with 9 tries and 45 points scored. He played three matches at the 2007 Rugby World Cup finals, scoring a try with Italy (18-24).

Manta is currently the captain of his National Team.
