Joana Preiss (born 22 May, 1972) is a French actress, director, singer, and performer.
Biography
Joana Preiss has starred in the films of Christophe Honoré, Olivier Assayas, Nobuhiro Suwa and Pia Marais, and has also collaborated with Nan Goldin in visual and sound works, and also with the works of Ugo Rondinone, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster and Céleste Boursier-Mougenot. On stage she has performed for ten years in the shows of Pascal Rambert then with Eleanor Weber.[1]
Trained in classical singing and contemporary music, she performs regularly in the concerts, and also focuses on improvisation and using her voice as an instrument. She founded the duo White Tahina with Vincent Epplay and Hiroyuki with Frédéric Danos, in which she sings poems by Hölderlin.[2]
In 2011 she directed her first movie Sibérie.[3]
