Chioninia stangeri is a species of skink in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands.[1]
Etymology
The specific name, stangeri, is in honor of English explorer William Stanger.[2]
Other names
Synonyms names are Euprepis and Mabuya stangeri, both named by Gray in 1845, Euprepes polylepis named by Peters in 1870 and Euprepes and Mabuya hoppferi both named by Bocage in 1875.
