HMAS Armidale (ACPB 83) is the lead ship of the Armidale class patrol boats which are currently being built for the Royal Australian Navy. Armidale was officially commissioned in Darwin on 24 June 2005. Armidale is based in Darwin and performs border protection and fisheries protection patrols.

The current HMAS Armidale is the second ship of this name to serve in the Royal Australian Navy. The original HMAS Armidale was a Bathurst class corvette which was sunk by Japanese aircraft on 1 December 1942.
