Dear Lucille, got your message - no problem! I just finished with the other peer review comments left for me so I am ready for more! Please come take a look at the page at your convenience and let me know what you think. Thanks for the time and attention. :) NancyHeise talk 23:28, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article is Roman Catholic Church? What a coincidence, because recently (probably a day or two ago) I stumbled upon the article and was surprised it wasn't featured! I took a look at the PR comments, but can't suggest anything explicit that needs improvement. Keep up the good work! :-) —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 00:11, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow - that is the nicest compliment and very encouraging. Your opinion is very valuable to me. I also want to mention that my eldest daughter is looking at universities and considering University of Alaska in Anchorage (because we spend our summers in AK). She is also an accomplished artist and virtuoso pianist. I tried to get her involved in Wikipedia but she does not have time because she also works and volunteers. Are you a student at University of Alaska? Do you recommend it? NancyHeise talk 00:24, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As a matter of fact, I do! UAA is excellent, especially for Humanities and the Social Sciences. Whatever school you choose though, I wish the best of luck to your daughter. :-) —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 00:35, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, her father and I were kind of hoping she would stay a little closer to home - Alaska is a really long flight for us, longer than if we were to go to Europe and just as expensive. Thanks for your encouraging words and I wish you the best. NancyHeise talk 00:38, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I can't say I'm the best of all writers, but if you ever need any help with this (I know writing an article by oneself isn't easy!) I'd be glad to assist you. Best, —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 00:42, 21 September 2008 (UTC).[reply]
Thank you for your offer. I will feel free to come post a note on your page if I need any more help. I think we are just about to send it up to FAC maybe in a couple more weeks so I would appreciate if you might take a final look around then and let us know what you think. I have worked on one successful FA, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and I brought Roman Catholic Church up to GA. I have worked on several other articles but I have not invested the effort into the others as I have with these. It has been an interesting and fun experience for me and I have met a lot of very nice people on Wikipedia. I am surprised at how many college students are here. I think it is a very healthy hobby for any student to have. NancyHeise talk 01:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Outdent) I'll try to help out wherever I can at the Featured candidacy. And I absolutely agree; in fact, some of our best editors here are college students. :-) Cheers, and best wishes. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 05:12, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No worries

Thanks for your note Mizu, and please don't feel under any pressure from me ;) I'm really busy at the moment too, mainly with the September intake of new apprentices at work, so can't guarantee my commitment to anything on WP right now. Maybe it would be easiest if you just drop me a note when you're ready, and we'll give that bloody barber (pun intended) his final push to FA. Best regards, EyeSerenetalk 09:44, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Roger that, ES! Whenever's convenient. Cheers, —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 20:15, 26 September 2008 (UTC).[reply]

The Duchess

Hey. Saw a pre-screening of "The Duchess" and it was quite good although thick in style. Perhaps you might like it when it opens. Best wishes. --- (Bob) Wikiklrsc (talk) 23:04, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Bob. Sounds interesting. I'll try to fit it in with my schedule. :-) —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 21:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which passed with a count of (154/3/2). I appreciate the community's trust in me, and I will do my best to be sure it won't regret handing me the mop. I am honored by your trust and your support. Again, thank you. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 18:20, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mizu. How are you? How's your RFA preps coming? Still looking at mid-Nov? You'll be a great admin. RlevseTalk 09:53, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Rlevse. I think November 16 would be just fine (if you're still up for it; I know not everyone would like to spend their birthday busy whipping up an RfA rather than going out to diner at Chili's with friends ;-)). I have a lot of catching up to do, though. I've been so busy I haven't managed to make more than a dozen edits in the past six weeks! If you have any suggestions, though, please tell me—I could use some pointers. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 19:09, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nov 16 is still okay. Just make sure you're as active as possible the 30 days prior to that. And stay active in articles and admin areas, esp the concern areas from the first RFA. RlevseTalk 19:15, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Time to do some adminny work. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 19:18, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How do you ask someone to adopt you on Adopt-a-User?

How do you ask someone to adopt you on Adopt-a-User? (I am sorry to bother you with this.) Reliableforever (talk) 15:57, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't apologise! :-) It's fine that you came to ask me for help, don't feel like it's a bother. All you really have to do is ask nicely. From there they will decide whether they can adopt/wish to adopt you, and you're ready to go. Hope that was useful, —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 19:04, 4 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

If a sentence on a Wikipedian article isn't true, can you erase it or is that vandalism?

Hi. (sorry to bother you again) but I have a question. I was reading the article on vandalism and it wasn't that quite clear but anyways here's the question: If a sentence on a Wikipedian article isn't true, can you erase it or is that vandalism? Reliableforever (talk) 19:47, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If it's really obvious, (like saying that Satan is the son of Oprah Winfrey; this is a really popular one) you can go ahead and delete it. But if you're unsure about it, ask on the talk page and tag it with {{subst:dated|fact}}. Best, —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 19:50, 5 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Could you adopt me in Adopt-a-user?

Could you adopt me in Adopt-a-user? Reliableforever (talk) 20:32, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I wouldn't mind. :-) It'll be a little informal, though. What would you like to start with? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 20:36, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean like learning about Wikipedia? (i know what im asking is a stupid question) Reliableforever (talk) 20:39, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, if there's anything you don't understand about the wiki, just ask. Do you know formatting? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 20:42, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Reliableforever (talk) 20:43, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not even a little? Here's the cheatsheet. As for Hypertext markup, we'll get to that later. How long have you been regularly editing? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 20:47, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've had an account on Wikipedia for a year and pretty much just looked things up with it. I really don't know that much about wikipedia. I'm in the 6th Grade so I pretty much haven't had time to really go on wikipedia. I just go on it to look stuff up. By the way, Are 6th Graders even aloud on wikipedia? Reliableforever (talk) 20:54, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha. Well, technically speaking by (purported) national law you can't be under thirteen and have any account on the Internet, including things like Yahoo! or Myspace, but we're pretty lenient about that at Wikipedia. Anyone can edit and have an account here, but it's generally preferred that administrators are over eighteen, but there are no rules on this either. Given that there are fourteen-year-old college students out there, I think you could learn WikiFormatting and HTML with a little work. Have you read the cheatsheet? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 21:00, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. Reliableforever (talk) 21:01, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good. Now, the first thing I think you should learn is that when you're replying to someone on a talk page, you should indent you comment so as to make it clear who you're talking to. When you reply to me, indent your comment with two colons (:). For more information on this, look at WP:TALKPAGE. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 21:04, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How do you add that template that says "this user was adopted by soso" (soso referring to whatever user adopted them)? Reliableforever (talk) 21:10, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
{{Adoptee|adopter's user name}}. Any more questions? By the way, when you want to tell someone what the code is for a template (ask I am now), use <no-wiki> (but without the dash).
Cheers! —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 21:19, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Could I put down that I was adopted by you? Reliableforever (talk) 21:22, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, just replace the part that says "adopter's user name" with my username, Mizu onna sango15. Also, I should have been more clear about how you format replies. You add one more colon that the person who you are replying to you did. So when you reply to me now, add four colons, because I used three. This makes your comment appear under mine, and slightly more to the right. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 21:26, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How do you get that thing that says "Status:Unknown"? Reliableforever (talk) 21:31, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
{{statustop|YOUR STATUS HERE}}. Mine says unknown because I don't have QUI installed. Do you run a Macintosh computer, or a PC? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 21:35, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No. About the template that you told me about it doesn't work. Reliableforever (talk) 21:44, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly did you put on your userpage? It should work, provided you replace "YOUR STATUS HERE" with "online". I'd be able to help you further, though, if you told me whether you are using a Apple or a Personal computer. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 21:49, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I got it to work I erased the Your status here and forgot to put it to online. My mistake! Reliableforever (talk) 21:57, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Outdent) Ah. I probably should have been more clear on that, too. So, you know how to format comments, you know how to sign your name, can you create links? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:00, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Reliableforever (talk) 22:03, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problemo. Just enclose double brackets ([[ and ]]) around whatever you want to link. For example, for the article about "foo", type in [[foo]]. Article titles are case-sensitive, so be careful. And make sure the article acutally exists, or you'll get a red link! —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:08, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This section is getting long Should we continue it on my talk page? Reliableforever (talk) 22:12, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There's no need (unless you really want to). I'll just add a section break. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:14, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Section break

So, what else do you want to know? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:14, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How do you do a section break? Reliableforever (talk) 22:15, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The exact same way you add a new heading. Just use double equal signs (==), and title the heading "section break". It's mainly used at the noticeboards when discussion gets to be extremely long, but it can be used just about anywhere that the sectin gets lengthly. Anything else? I really don't mind answering questions! —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:18, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How do you categorize userboxes? Reliableforever (talk) 22:21, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Does WP:CATEGORY help with that question? If not, I'll do some more digging. It'd be essentially the same as with articles. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:25, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No not really. I am going to play with my user page a little until I get it right. I'll tell you when I get it done. Reliableforever (talk) 22:28, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course—what was I thinking? Never mind, see Wikipedia:Userbox. Userboxes are already categorized. New userboxes are generally just presented at the new userboxes talk page, so you really don't need to put them in a category. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:32, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try this tommorow. It's kinda hard to do espically if you have 153 userboxes. Reliableforever (talk) 22:39, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Outdent) Okay, no worries. Regards, —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 22:42, 5 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

You can play the violin? Reliableforever (talk) 22:44, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well anyways, I gotta go. Thanks for answering my questions. Reliableforever (talk) 22:53, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I do. Can you yourself? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 04:00, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, not really, I'm learning to play the clarinet in band. I wanted to play the flute, trombone or trumpet. Sadley I got the clarinet. We have to put them in cases and we have to carry them all day! I feel bad for the kids who are playing the trombone because the have to carry the case (which is big). Reliableforever (talk) 11:35, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well I have to go because it's time for me to get ready for school. If you are online at 4:00 pm I will be online at 4:45 pm. Bye. Reliableforever (talk) 11:35, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Uh hey are you online right now? Reliableforever (talk) 21:34, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Now I am, but I won't be for long. As we (probably) have opposite time zones, 4:00 for me will not be 4:00 for you. Just try to be online when you can and ask me a question here. When I come online, I'll reply to it, and so on. Do you have any questions now? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 02:06, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know what sockpuppets are? Reliableforever (talk) 21:43, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Since you asked, I assume you do not? —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 04:01, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No I don't know. Reliableforever (talk) 11:25, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Outdent) Well, a sockpuppet is essentially a banned or blocked user who created a new account so they can edit again. It's not allowed. However, there are good kinds of sockpuppets, too. It's all there at WP:SOCK. —Mizu onna sango15Hello! 15:26, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You got a thank you card!

RFA Thanks

Mizu onna sango15, I'd like to thank you for voting in my RFA. Thanks also for expressing your trust in me, and I hope that I live up to your expectations. Don't forget, if you have any questions (or bits of advice), please leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again, SpencerT♦C 02:52, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Film title

Hello Lu. Good point on the film's title. I left comments there. It's a toss-up. I saw it in pre-screening. Best wishes. --- (Bob) Wikiklrsc (talk) 01:51, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
