2008–09 Supersport Series

The Supersport Series is the premier cricket test series in South Africa. It is a four day test, each team plays each other twice in a home and away leg. It is based on the same principle as a international test. The only difference is that it is played in four days not five.

Explanation of points

Bonus points are awarded in the first 100 overs of each team's first innings of the match. The first batting point is awarded when the team reaches 150 and then 0.02 points for each further run made within 100 overs. Bowling points are awarded at 3,5,7 and 9 wickets within 100 overs (a maximum of 4).
