Having served more that 35 years, Admiral Edward D. Sheafer, Jr retired from the Navy in 1995. After graduating from the Naval Academy, Admiral Sheafer served as a Surface Warfare Officer for ten years, including command at sea of the USS Persistent (MSO-491) and ocean going minesweeper. Following a tour in Vietnam, Sheafer attended graduate school at Georgetown University, where he received a Masters Degree in Foreign Service.

Currently he is working on multiple business endeavors including activities with the U.S. Intelligence Community, implementation of advanced wireless communications capabilities, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) product development.
