HNLMS Jan van Brakel (F825)
The HNLMS Jan van Brakel (F 825) was named after Jan van Brakel, a Dutch naval commander from the 17th century. It was a frigate launched on 16 May 1981, commissioned by the Dutch Navy on 14 April 1983, and was transferred to the Greek Navy on 29 November 2002 as Hellenic Ship (H.S.) FFGH Kanaris (F 464)
