Chris Hanson attended [[Marshall University]] and was a student and a four-year letterman in football as a punter. He finished his college football career with an average of 39.9 yards per punt. He majored in Business Management.

==Professional career==
The Jaguars released Hanson on [[May 1]], [[2007 NFL season|2007]]. The move was not a surprise, however, as the team had drafted punter [[Adam Podlesh]] in the fourth round of the [[2007 NFL Draft]] just days before. Hanson signed a one year, $630,000 contract with the [[New Orleans Saints]] two days later. He was released by the Saints during the preseason and signed by the Patriots on [[August 30]], [[2007 New England Patriots season|2007]].

== DYK ==
===Axe incident===
During the 2003 season Jacksonville Jaguars coach [[Jack Del Rio]] placed a wooden stump and axe in the Jaguars locker room as a symbol of his theme advising players to "keep choppin' wood". After his teammates had been taking swings at the wood with the axe, Hanson followed and ended up seriously wounding his non-kicking foot. He missed the remainder of the [[2003 NFL season|2003 season]].

Hi, when you're working on a draft article, be sure to temporarily disable the category links by inserting a : (colon) at the start of the link, like this:
[[Category:Athletes represented by Drew Rosenhaus]]
[[Category:Marshall Thundering Herd football players]]
[[Category:Green Bay Packers players]]
[[Category:Miami Dolphins players]]
[[Category:Jacksonville Jaguars players]]
[[Category:New Orleans Saints players]]

[[da:Chris Hanson]]
<b><nowiki>[[:Category:1836 births]]</nowiki></b>

When you publish the article, you simply remove the colon. Thanks for your message. Appreciate the multiple tags were a bit gung-ho but I am not sure that "The real irony here" is a phrase worthy of an encyclopaedia. I was not intending to dispute the irony of the name but more the fact that (a) irony arguably can't be quantified - something is either ironic or it isn't and (b) I'd like to see a verifiable source that comments on the irony, else it smacks of [[WP:OR|OR]]. I don't mind if the tags are deleted, I just wanted to flag to the article's editors that it needed a bit of attention. Thanks for the advice :). is "writing style needs to come out..." a compliment at the DYK comments? I do find my article related skills a bit lacking on occasion. :Derbyshire it is, then :). I have a massive backlog (we're talking a dozen lists of redlinks here) but one of them is the list of High Sheriffs of Derbyshire, so i'll get right on to that when i've finished the Chief Justice articles. Knowing how my mind works doing that will spark off 20 other projects to do with Derbyshire :P. ::Ooh, challenge accepted! Did it not start until then or do the records you've got only go back that far? I've emailed the High Sheriff's association; hopefully they'll get back to me. As to the origins of Derbyshire i'll look at that too. I handed out all of the credits, and I placed DYK templates on all of the article talk pages. I also protected the image which was due to go on the main page. == Credits... and a question ==
I've handed out the DYK credits for this next set, as well as tagging the articles. just one question: how does an administrator protect an image for the main page, or for any reason. Obviously a DYK image requires a <nowiki>{{mprotected}}</nowiki> template, but what else is done to enable temporary protection? Does this work the same as protecting a page? Thanks, --[[User:Jordan Timothy James Busson|<font color="Green">Jor</font>]][[User talk:Jordan Timothy James Busson|<font color="Red">dan</font>]] [[Special:Contributions/Jordan Timothy James Busson|<font color="Blue">Contribs</font>]] 18:16, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

hello
this user is randomly deleting cybergoth fashion photos and text for no reason repeatedly.

The texts he is deleting are referenced explanations to the origin of the term cybergoth
from the game playing company Gameworks in the UK and other parts and photos have been
deleted for no reason.
He does this repeatedly for no reason.
The page was very balance and explained the difference between cybergoth and cyberpunk clearly in the previous version, which was always a valid point of confusion previously.

thanks if you can help

It's me again, sorry to bug you! (Although it's been a while due to several things ;) ).

Basically, I want to get article writing, but tbh I haven't got the time to do that much research etc, and my knowledge is limited! I am going to do some more tram related articles, mainly expansion, but I was wondering if individual trams would be notable enough to warrant articles? They are all preserved at the National Tramway Museum at Crich, and indeed at least some are notable, such as Southampton 45 (first preserved tramcar), Leeds 602 (final development of traditional British tramcar), London 1 (spawned many new designs), MET 331 (spawned the LT Feltham Class), and many others. Problem is if i'm not sure if they would warrant notability?

Also, on a Derbyshire front, you posted at [[WT:Derbys]] about our 0.7 articles - would you like any help (as I said there) and what would you like (or the encyclopedia like) doing on them?

Cheers,

'''<font face="Gill Sans MT">[[User:Bluegoblin7|<font color="blue">B</font>]][[User talk:Bluegoblin7|<font color="blue">G</font>]][[Special:Contributions/Bluegoblin7|<font color="gray">7even</font>]]</font>''' 13:39, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
:Hey,
:Thanks, but i'm sorta confused some more... :S
:They are notable within the tramway press, and indeed are included in several books. Shall i write the articles in my sandbox and then see what people think?
:Also, what should I do for Derbyshire 0.7? And cheers for the Portal ;) i'll get maintaining it again now!
:Cheers, '''<font face="Gill Sans MT">[[User:Bluegoblin7|<font color="blue">B</font>]][[User talk:Bluegoblin7|<font color="blue">G</font>]][[Special:Contributions/Bluegoblin7|<font color="gray">7even</font>]]</font>''' 15:12, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

#There is a list of people who tried out for the wimbledon hockey league in the 1940s. The wimbledon hockey club have issued several brochures and histories that list their names. They also were mentioned in their school magazines.
#Some of them went in to play for award winning teams and have small articles covering their lives in national sports pages.
#One has married a gorilla and won two nobel prizes.

:Of these three sections which would you like to read about and which should we delete the articles for? I know these are ludicrous examples. If you want to search out notability then there will be examples of transport memorabilia but I'm hoping you might appreciate my understanding.

More seriously they do write articles about individual big military boats and cruisers as Admiral Nelson served on HMS Example and mentions it is his biography ... he does not list the coaches he used. I would expect to find articles on models of trams but not on individual trams. but its my opinion only [[User:Victuallers|Victuallers]] ([[User talk:Victuallers#top|talk]]) 15:41, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
:Hmm well Number 3 would probably be the most interesting etc in your example ;).
:My instinct would be to write them and see what happens: i'm writing them anyway for a specialist tram Wikia, so if they go I don't mind ;)
:And if they are notable, will they be ok for DYK? ?
:Thanks,
:'''<font face="Gill Sans MT">[[User:Bluegoblin7|<font color="blue">B</font>]][[User talk:Bluegoblin7|<font color="blue">G</font>]][[Special:Contributions/Bluegoblin7|<font color="gray">7even</font>]]</font>''' 16:17, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

== [[Marguerite Wilson]] ==

Hi Vic, i started an article about [[Marguerite Wilson]]. I lack your experience with 'sharing' other people's image copyright, but I was intrigued with your justification for Opperman's Golden page. Can we (you) do it for Wilson? I also came across a good photo at [http://www.meridiancyclingclub.co.uk/Pages/Various/Spoke%202008-09.pdf Spoke - Quarterly Magazine of the Meridian CC, September 2008], does your experience allow you to justify uploading this aswell?

I suppose you didn't check [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Did_you_know&diff=240912294&oldid=240895603 this edit summary] of mine. Currently there are too many portrait images on Main Page, and actually I hadn't thought that was a problem until EncycloPetey suggested to me a while ago that it didn't look good that all the MP templates have male facial images. Variety is highly important for Main Page, otherwise it will lead to bias. I know it can be annoying when someone else replaces the image you chose but please understand the reason behind my edit. --[[User:BorgQueen|BorgQueen]] ([[User talk:BorgQueen|talk]]) 15:58, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
:Well, I tend to agree that the ship image is not particularly interesting but I had to choose from already loaded hooks. As for the issue of having too many "dead white males", we have a Chinese, a Japanese, and a Muslim male portrait image on MP at the moment, so the white bias is not the issue here. What I was concerned over was having too many portrait images on Main Page at the same time and that's about it. For the sake of diversity, I'd like to say that it would be perfectly justifiable if you had chosen a more interesting, non-portrait image hook from one or two days ahead of the cue. I know we have a bit of backlog now but taking just one hook from, say, 20 or 21 Sep entries would have been a reasonable trick. Thanks for your work and understanding. --[[User:BorgQueen|BorgQueen]] ([[User talk:BorgQueen|talk]]) 16:25, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

==Assessments==
Thanks, I've been practing on the Sheffield project first ;) Would you like me to look at the remaing ones which are all BIO articles ? (till i have a tagging sesion again and find a few more Derbyshire articles). Not looked a many Bio articles so far and the MOS relating to them, but as far as a quick glance at WP:BIO Living says the basics are same as other articles with no 'rubbish' acceptable for living people is a quick summary. - [[User:BulldozerD11|BulldozerD11]] ([[User talk:BulldozerD11|talk]]) 20:32, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

:I wondered if that was the case, I look at some later or tommorow, as working off a few more on Sheffield as below 100 to go, did a dozen or so on here yesterday. May get both projects down to Zero by end of the month, if dont go off on watch list patrol. - [[User:BulldozerD11|BulldozerD11]] ([[User talk:BulldozerD11|talk]]) 21:31, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

::Done most of them now (for WP Derbyshire), just 10 left for tonight. If you disagree let me know (importance is hardest to define IMO) - [[User:BulldozerD11|BulldozerD11]] ([[User talk:BulldozerD11|talk]]) 14:04, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

:::Done them all, then added a few more but going to leave till ive done Sheffield ones and a bit of tagging here and at Lincolnshire.
:::Just looking at bot generated quality listing and see [[Thomas Cook]] at imp=Top ? would have thought Derby, Chesterfield etc would be above or equal ? Duke of Devonshire would be one of the very few people rated top for the county - [[User:BulldozerD11|BulldozerD11]] ([[User talk:BulldozerD11|talk]]) 21:25, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

::::Perhaps we should Hold discusion on project page, but i would think ,ax of 10 articles at Top, with important places, people, companies ect that are highly associated with Derbyshire at next tier. As the context is weighted to Derbyshire relavance rather than importance in context of the world or other projects (if that makes sense).

::::The WikiDVD release 0.7 items are selected already are they not, unless we nominate any ommissions. Improving articles with Info boxes and Photos etc is probaly a good idea, hence trying to find photos for the Derbyshire article, which then sent me off at a tangent again. some article may whant navboxes to link groups of themtogether. perhaps we should look at the stats for articles visitors to gauge popularity. Are there nany other active editors focusing on Derbyshire ? - [[User:BulldozerD11|BulldozerD11]] ([[User talk:BulldozerD11|talk]]) 22:20, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

== cleanup ==

Can you have a look at the [[University of Derby]] article, I added a cleanup tag (early this morning) as the articles full of lists of courses, and inline links, and talk page has a message from some one claiming to be from uni that it keeps getting altered. But sone of current page to me is more like a adveret / pr job. Tag i put on was removed by an IP editor and reverte by another user, and then I put it back ( with a warning), the IP has reverted claiming its not needed in a message to me. I left them a message to discue on talk page, not revert and summarily remove tags. Thanks - [[User:BulldozerD11|BulldozerD11]] ([[User talk:BulldozerD11|talk]]) 15:08, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

:Thanks- had a look at the edit history now and there are POV / PR edits going on for a long time with the Use of inline links & removal of tags, occuring each time they are placed. With two Editors both claiming to be at the uni, doing battle . Including blanking talk pages. Think ive seen a notice about connect people editing articles displayed on a talk page, but canor remember where it was,

:An all i was going to do was remove the inline links + list of courses. I only slapped the Cleanup not on cause of the talk page comments, (and adding load of specific ones just cluttters the page). I'll see if i get to it tommorrow, and if we get any constructive comments on the talk page. - [[User:BulldozerD11|BulldozerD11]] ([[User talk:BulldozerD11|talk]]) 21:10, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

== University of Derby ==

I do not understand why you have banned eits on the University of Derby page. If anything Bulldozer and overlleft should have been banned for erroneous tagging because the page in comparison to the greater lot of uni pages on wiki is of a fairly high standard. It appears to be that 70.161.38.178 has been wrongly judged here. The person was merely protecting the integrity of the page. I hereby request that you reconsider your decision. The global community should not suffer because of Bulldozer and overlleft; and 70.161.38.178 should certainly not suffer.

Thank you. <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[Special:Contributions/96.248.218.37|96.248.218.37]] ([[User talk:96.248.218.37|talk]]) 20:56, 9 October 2008 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

Where would you like the reply? Who are you? Sign in please and sign your comments. Suggest you have the debate on the uni talk page and stop making accusations and find some consensus. Not sure if I set the protection up right ... I'll check tomorrow. But edits are not banned only for new and anon users. The page is very good in parts. The "ban" is for 3 days only. Don't talk to me, talk to each other. Disagree? Then get another admin to undo my action. Cheers [[User:Victuallers|Victuallers]] ([[User talk:Victuallers#top|talk]]) 22:09, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Firstly, there is consensus. Secondly, I suggest you rethink your tone of speech. It is harsh and disrespectful. Someone with a genuine concern for the page does not deserve to be spoken to in the manner you spoke to 96.248.218.37. The user was just stating what is known, i.e that Bulldozer and overlleft made edits of error that needed removed. Also, it is an abuse of your position to dicate something and then attempt to halt conversation upon that decision. 96.248.218.37 has every right to speak to you. It is your job to listen to users affected by your actions. Lastly, another admin is not good enough. If this situation is not handled more professionally by Monday morning I will contact corporate at both the University of Derby and Wikipedia forthwith.

Enjoy the remainder of your day <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[Special:Contributions/70.161.38.178|70.161.38.178]] ([[User talk:70.161.38.178|talk]]) 23:54, 9 October 2008 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

You are free to appeal to Derby Uni and corporate wikipedia at any time. I got the impression that one of the editors claimed to represent Derby Uni maybe that will assist. When I suggested that (s)he should not talk to me, I meant the whole purpose is to encourage rational debate. I would find it easier to talk to these people of course if they had talk pages but that if his/her choice. At the moment there is no prevention of debate. Editting is still possible. If anon users have any difficulties then I would volunteer to load up any uncontentious content. :I've been creating windmill articles in the format (mill name, parish) where a mill has a name, or (parish name Windmill) where a mill doesn't have a name. As for the category, Mills in Leicestershire could have Windmills in Leicestershire, Watermills in Leicestershire, Steam Mills in Leicestershire and Horse Mills in Leicestershire as sub categories. Christopher David Hanson (born October 25, 1976 in Riverdale, Georgia) is an American football punter for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He played collegiately at Marshall.

High school years

Hanson attended East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg, Georgia and was a student and a letterman in soccer.

College career

Chris Hanson attended Marshall University and was a student and a four-year letterman in football as a punter. He finished his college football career with an average of 39.9 yards per punt. He majored in Business Management.

Professional career

The Jaguars released Hanson on May 1, 2007. The move was not a surprise, however, as the team had drafted punter Adam Podlesh in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft just days before. Hanson signed a one year, $630,000 contract with the New Orleans Saints two days later. He was released by the Saints during the preseason and signed by the Patriots on August 30, 2007.

Axe incident

During the 2003 season Jacksonville Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio placed a wooden stump and axe in the Jaguars locker room as a symbol of his theme advising players to "keep choppin' wood". After his teammates had been taking swings at the wood with the axe, Hanson followed and ended up seriously wounding his non-kicking foot. He missed the remainder of the 2003 season.
