Auguste-Alexandre Ducrot (February 24 1817, Nevers - August 16 1882, Versailles) was a French general. Ducrot served in Algeria, in the Italian campaign of 1859, and as a division head in the Franco-Prussian War. He was imprisoned for refusing to sign the capitulation treaty of Sedan, but escaped and took part in the defense of Paris when besieged by the Germans.
