St Austell and Newquay (UK Parliament constituency)

St Austell and Newquay will be a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It will elect one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

Boundaries

Following their review of parliamentary representation in Cornwall, the Boundary Commission for England have awarded the county one extra constituency, which means consequential changes for existing seats. St Austell and Newquay and Truro and Falmouth split the existing Truro and St Austell seat.

The electoral wards used to create St Austell and Newquay are entirely from the borough of Restormel

This new constituency will be fought at the 2009 or 2010 UK general election
