Physiology and Behavior is a scientific journal published by Elsevier Science. It is an official journal of the International Behavioral Neuroscience Society.[1] The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles in the fields of behavioral neuroendocrinology, psychoneuroimmunology, learning and memory, ingestion, social behavior, and studies related to the mechanisms of psychopathology. Volume 1 appeared in 1966. Physiology and Behavior is currently (2009)[2] included in the major indexes BIOSIS, Chemical Abstracts, Current Contents-Life Sciences, Medline, PsycINFO, Science Citation Index, Scopus, and PubMed. According to the 2008 edition of the Journal Citation Reports, its 2007 impact factor is 2.561.[3]
