Usman Khan was a resident of Staffordshire, convicted terrorist and the main perpetrator in the London Bridge terrorist attack on 29 November 2019 when five people were stabbed of which two died. Khan was shot by City of London Police and died on the scene. Khan was wearing a fake suicide jacket when he carried out the act.

Khan had been released on licence from prison in December 2018 following a previous 2012 foiled terrorism plot after pleading guilty to involvement in the 2010 Stock Exchange Terrorism Plot which was foiled by the MI5 and the police. Khan was jailed for eight years over this crime and charges of building a terrorist training camp in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir owned by Khan's family. Khan was a supporter of al-Muhijaroun the group led by Anjem Choudry and dubbed Britain’s “most prolific and dangerous extremist group”. Nine men had pleaded guilty to this incident which who inspired by al-Qaida.[1][2][3]

Khan carried out the attack on London Bridge with a kitchen knife.[4]
