Hitomi Yaida (矢井田瞳 Yaida Hitomi born July 28, 1978 in Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan[1]) is a Japanese folk rock singer/songwriter and guitarist. She often goes by the nickname Yaiko. She graduated from Kansai University with a degree in French language and literature. Her father, Osamu Yaida, is a professor at Kyoto Women's University. She is currently on the Aozora record label.
