À La Carte was a disco formation produced in Germany, which consisted of three changing singers.
Band history
À La Carte was produced by Tony Hendrik and his wife Karin van Haaren. Hendrik / van Haaren produced a total of 38 tracks for the trio. The women's trio initially consisted of Patsy Fuller, Julia and Elaine. In the following years, however, it was subject to strong staff fluctuation, which proved that those groups were arbitrarily interchangeable at that time. Vocal differences were smoothed out in the music productions in the Coconut sound studio by Hendrik / van Haaren. Julia and Elaine were replaced by Jenny Renshaw and Denise Distelle in the same year (1979). Denise Distelle was again replaced by Katie Humble in the same year. Katie was replaced by Linda Daniels for about a year and a half in 1980, but came back in 1982. Patsy was replaced by Joy Martin in 1980. The girls' band consisted most of the time: Jenny Renshaw, Joy Martin and Katie Humble (the three can also be seen on the cover of the last two albums). Their music consisted of catchy disco songs. Her most successful song was Do Wah Diddy , a cover version of the play of the same name by Manfred Mann . The song reached number 22 in the singles charts.
In 1985 the band was dissolved.
