Ádam Pálóczi Horváth [ ˈaːdaːm ˈpaːloːtsi ˈhorvaːt ] (born May 11, 1760 in Kömlőd ; † January 28, 1820 in Nagybajom ) was a Hungarian folk music collector, poet and composer.
Little is known about Horváth's living conditions. From 1787 to 1790 he was tenant of the Szántódpuszta in Szántód on Lake Balaton and founded the literary group Göcsejer Helikon . It represents the first collection of Hungarian dances and songs and is an important source for Hungarian music research.
