Ámbito Financiero is an Argentine business newspaper that appears daily in Buenos Aires .

The newspaper was founded by Julio A. Ramos on December 9, 1976 and has a circulation of around 75,000 copies (as of 2015), which are printed simultaneously at four locations across Argentina. Originally it was only sold in the business district of Buenos Aires and mainly contained the daily rates for the US dollar , gold, stocks etc. as well as some editorial contributions.

The concept worked and the newspaper became a reliable resource for investors and financial sector workers. Despite the simple page layout, Ámbito Financiero is now regarded as a business newspaper comparable to the Financial Times or The Wall Street Journal . In 2008 the newspaper was sold to Orlando Vignatti , who also owns the Buenos Aires Herald . At the beginning of 2015 there was another change of ownership when Vignatti sold the 60 percent majority stake in its media holding AmFin SA to the large entrepreneur Cristóbal López, who is closely associated with the presidential family Kirchner .
