Ángel Israel Mena Delgado (born January 21, 1988 in Guayaquil , Ecuador ) is an Ecuadorian football player in the position of a striker .

Mena started his career at his hometown club Club Sport Emelec , where he was under contract from 2007 to 2016 and won the Ecuadorian football championship three times in a row in 2013, 2014 and 2015 . Due to his steadily increasing goal danger (in 2016 he was successful 16 times) he attracted the attention of financially stronger clubs like the Club Deportivo Social y Cultural Cruz Azul from the Mexican capital Mexico City , with which he spent the years 2017 and 2018. At the beginning of 2019 he switched to league rivals Club León and was the top scorer of the Mexican league in the 2019 Clausura with 14 goals in the dress of the Esmeraldas .
