Ángel Israel Mena Delgado (born January 21, 1988 in Guayaquil , Ecuador ) is an Ecuadorian football player in the position of a striker .

Mena started his career at his hometown club Club Sport Emelec , where he was under contract from 2007 to 2016 and won the Ecuadorian football championship three times in a row in 2013, 2014 and 2015 . Due to his steadily increasing goal danger (in 2016 he was successful 16 times) he attracted the attention of financially stronger clubs like the Club Deportivo Social y Cultural Cruz Azul from the Mexican capital Mexico City , with which he spent the years 2017 and 2018.
