The Ástjörn is a pond near the Icelandic town of Hafnarfjörður .
The pond is located south of Reykjanesbraut (road 41), which connects the capital with the airport . It and a surrounding area have been under nature protection since 1978 because of the abundance of animals and plants, and entry is prohibited during the breeding season from May 1st to July 15th. The protected area was enlarged in 1996 to 28.5 hectares and now extends to the 126 m high mountain Ásfjall. The Ástjörn has no inflows and outflows.
