Bruno Filippini (born March 3, 1945 in Rome ) is an Italian singer.

life and career

After his school education, Bruno Filippini became a member of the Papal Choir of the Sistine Chapel . In 1963 he won the Festival di Castrocaro music competition , which brought him first notoriety in Italy. He was a participant in the Sanremo Festival in 1964 (with Sabato sera , at the side of The Fraternity Brother ) and in 1965 (with L'amore ha i tuoi occhi , together with Yukari Itō ), both times he was able to reach the final of the competition to reach. The singer gained considerable popularity in the 1960s and both of his Sanremo contributions reached the top 10 of the Italian singles chart.

Filippini was also active as a film actor and composer. In 1968 he was seen in Franco Zeffirelli 's Shakespeare film Romeo and Juliet as the singer Leonardo , who sang the song Ai Giochi Addio (English: What is a Youth ) - while he can also be heard in the Italian version of the film, he was in dubbed the English and German versions of the film by Glen Weston .
