The Egyptian Patriotic Movement ( Arabic حزب الحركة الوطنية المصرية, DMG Ḥizb al-Ḥarakat al-Waṭaniyya al-Miṣriyya ; English Egyptian Patriotic Movement ) is an Egyptian party that was founded on September 24, 2012 by the former presidential candidate and ex-member of the National Democratic Party in Egypt, Ahmed Schafik .
The most prominent party founders of the Egyptian Patriotic Movement include the sociologist and human rights activist Saad Eddin Ibrahim and the former deputy head of the Free Egyptian Party , Mohammed Abu Hamed .
