Mobile monitoring is a collective term for time-limited monitoring using mobile technical aids. Mobile stands for mobile and changeable as well as for mobile communication . Mobile monitoring supports security organizations and their staff in monitoring people and objects.

Basics

Digital video technology , audio technology , sensors , GPS , radio technology , mobile communication , Internet , VPN , mobile computing , cloud computing , accumulators form the basis. These technologies, integrated in a network of several devices, result in a mobile monitoring system . A distinction is made between monitoring, network and observation devices. Network components can be built into the monitoring and observation devices.

commitment

Devices are used in a monitoring area that transmit monitoring data to the monitoring devices automatically or as required. The monitoring devices are dynamically integrated into a mobile system regardless of the time of use, location and number of devices to be used. Data ( video , audio , metadata and alarms ) from the monitoring devices are transmitted securely and encrypted to authorized monitoring devices via radio networks and the Internet . The total of all observation devices used results in the observation area. Data (control commands and audio) can be transmitted back to the monitoring devices from the monitoring devices.

Entry into the security business

The military had the first mobile monitoring systems, but they cost six to seven-figure sums. With the availability of commercial systems, these can also be used for police and civil security tasks. The commercial systems differ from the first-mentioned special systems in their ease of use. Secure data transfers and IT infrastructures are immediately available everywhere and no longer have to be specially set up.

Applications

Mobile monitoring can be used in both public and private security .

In public security, mobile monitoring is used by authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS), for major events, major events or for covert surveillance. The application takes place regardless of whether it is announced long-term or surprising. Security companies and private users can immediately secure locations temporarily and monitor them at any time and regardless of location. Statutory data protection regulations can restrict the use of mobile monitoring systems.
