Älija Maqsutqysy Schüssipowa ( Kazakh Әлия Мақсұтқызы Жүсіпова , Russian Алия Махсутовна Юсупова Alija Machsutovna Jussupowa ; born May 15, 1984 in Shymkent ) is a former Kazakh gymnast .

In 2004, Älija Schüssipowa was able to qualify for the Summer Olympics in Athens , finishing fourth in the individual competition. At the Asian Games in Doha in 2006 , she won the gold medal in the overall standings and in the team competition. At the 2006 Asian Championships in Surat , she won gold six times. In 2008 she again took part in the Summer Olympics for Kazakhstan , where she came in 5th.

In 2009 Shuissipova ended her career.
