The Äußere Hahlkogel ( 2658 m above sea level ) is a mountain in the Geigenkamm in the Ötztal Alps in Tyrol . Although the mountain peak in the Geigenkamm is one of the smallest peaks, its pyramid-like shape is characteristic of the landscape in and around Längenfeld . Conversely, the view from the summit also offers a good view over large parts of the Ötztal.
The normal route leads from the village of Huben to the Hahlkogelhaus at 2024 meters, from where the trail leading from the south to the summit can be reached via Großeben.
