Åslaug Sem-Jacobsen (born April 5, 1971 ) is a Norwegian politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). She has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

Sem-Jacobsen is a trained journalist and she studied political science at the University of Oslo . From 2005 to 2013 and again from 2014 to 2017 on the Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK). From 2011 she was a member of the local parliament of Notodden , from 2015 to 2017 she acted as deputy mayor. In 2015 she also moved into the fylkesting of what was then the province of Telemark .

In the 2017 general election , Sem-Jacobsen was elected to the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time . There she represents the constituency of Telemark and she became a member of the Family and Culture Committee.
