Çiğli Belediyespor is a Turkish football club from Çiğli , Izmir Province .
history
First years
Çiğli Belediyespor was founded in 1995 and played in the regional amateur leagues of Izmir until 2010. The club's first major success was the promotion to the 5th division in the 2009/10 season. There you could reach third place at the end of the season and thus qualified for the play-offs, where you beat Özyeşiltepe 1-0 and secured promotion.
In the BAL
With seven wins in a row, Çiğli Belediyespor got off to a furious start into the 2010/11 season, it wasn't until the eighth matchday that they suffered their first defeat with a 1-0 defeat against Turgutreis Belediyespor . This defeat did not cause a crack, however, Çiğli Belediyespor continued his good performance and remained the following 12 games without a defeat, seven of these 12 games could be won. At the end of the season they finished second with 53 points and just missed promotion to the 4th division , promoted Aydınspor 1923 had two points more.
Çiğli Belediyespor was not defeated and reached first place in the following season 2011/12 and qualified for the play-offs. There they lost against Bergama Belediyespor with 0: 1, the dream of promotion was broken again. In the 2013/14 season they were relegated, but could immediately be promoted again. Since then, Çiğli Belediyespor has played in the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig, mostly in the upper quarter of the table.
