The apple from Lunow is a historical apple variety from the municipality of Lunow in the Mark region on the lower reaches of the border river Oder .
Variety characteristics
The apple from Lunow with its greenish-light yellow fruits is reminiscent of the Lausitz clove apple and the beautiful ones from Nordhausen . The skin is waxy but not greasy. The flesh of the table apple is white and firm and tastes sweet and sour. The fruits can be kept until spring.
