École des praticiens du commerce international

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The EPSCI Business School (Ecole Practicien Supérieur Commerce International) was founded in 1975 by the ESSEC Business School to meet the needs of executives in French companies operating internationally. Over the past few years, EPSCI has established itself as one of the leading institutions in the field of training for young international leaders in France. EPSCI shares the campus with the ESSEC Business School Cergy-Pontoise in the Paris area.

Student profile

Students must be fluent in French and also have a good level of English. Another foreign language must also be learned during the course. Admission to the Baccalauréat (Abitur) takes place via a written and oral entrance examination, in which only around 16% of applicants are admitted to the course.

Education

The course is divided into four years, of which at least one year must be spent abroad. Students are also expected to complete various internships. A total of eleven months of internships are required before graduation. These prerequisites are intended to ensure that the graduates are both specialized and versatile. International mobility as well as intercultural awareness are further main characteristics of the EPSCI graduates.

internationality

EPSCI has 48 partner institutions in more than 20 countries. Particularly noteworthy are the double diploma courses offered in cooperation with IBS Groningen (Netherlands), Dortmund University of Applied Sciences , Plekhanov Academy for Economics Moscow (Russia) and five other partner schools in England, Spain and China. The stay abroad increases from at least one year to 1½ years.

graduation

The Diplôme de l'EPSCI is accredited by EQUIS and AACSB and recognized by the French state at Level II (equivalent to a 4-year university degree; EPSCI graduates can be admitted directly to the second year of a two-year master’s course). As part of the harmonization of the European higher education area, the Diplôme de l'EPSCI is classified as a Bachelor and is thus lower than its actual value. According to today's system, it can best be compared to a German diploma.

Rankings

In various rankings of so-called post-bac (entry directly after graduation) business schools, EPSCI has repeatedly achieved top positions:
