Évariste Payer (born December 12, 1887 in Rockland , Ontario , † 1963 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player who was active in his active time from 1909 to 1918 for the Canadiens de Montréal in the National Hockey League and National Hockey Association .

Career

Évariste Payer began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with the Rockland Seniors, for which he was active in the Lower Ottawa Hockey Association in the 1909/10 season . Then the winger played for two years for the Canadiens de Montréal in the professional league National Hockey Association , before he went from 1912 to 1914 in the Montreal City Hockey League for Montreal Hochelaga and Montreal Champetre. He then returned to his hometown and played again for the Rockland Seniors in the LOHA in the 1914/15 season.

From 1914 to 1916 Payer did his military service. He then joined his ex-club from Rockland before he booked his only NHL assignment for the Canadiens de Montréal in the course of the 1917/18 season , the premiere season of the newly formed National Hockey League . He then ended his active career.
