Ile Florence

The Île Florence is a small rock island off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located 600 m south of Derby Island near the northern end of the Astrolabe glacier tongue .
French scientists mapped it during a research trip that lasted from 1949 to 1951 and named it after the Italian city of Florence .
