The Île Monge , also known as Monge Island , is a small and rocky island off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located immediately south of the island of La Conchée and 800 m northeast of Cape Mousse .
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition lasting from 1950 to 1951 mapped the island and named it after the French mathematician Gaspard Monge (1746-1818).
