Ö3 circle of friends

The Ö3-Freundeskreis was a radio broadcast on Ö3 . It aired every Saturday at midnight from 2004 to 2010.

In each episode, well-known people from the field of music (both mainstream and underground ) played their own favorite records - regardless of the Ö3 broadcast schedule - for 60 minutes.

In addition to their favorite music, the artists also presented memories from their youth, their life and tell about how they came to professional music. Most of the guests came from German-speaking countries, and sometimes international artists like Bryan Adams could be heard in the studio.

In the case of the death of an Austrian musician like Georg Danzer or Joe Zawinul (both † 2007), Ö3 repeated the program in which this artist was a guest.

In addition to Forcher's Friday Music Club and Ö3 Top 12 to 12, the Freundeskreis was the only broadcast on Ö3 that completely dispensed with its own moderator.
