The Rail Tours Touristik mbH is a tour of the ÖBB .

Rail Tours Touristik, based in Vienna, was founded in 1986/87 by ÖBB and Österreichisches Verkehrsbüro (50/50%) as a subsidiary of Rail Tours Austria  (RTA) established in 1982 and has been 100% owned by ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG since 2006 , and thus indirectly fully owned by the Republic of Austria (organizationally the ÖBB is subordinate to the Ministry of Transport ). The RTA brand was replaced by ÖBB Rail Tours in 2012 .
It is Austria's leading rail tour operator and tour operator for short breaks.

ÖBB's tourist offers are marketed under this brand. The company specializes in rail package tours. The package tour offers include train travel and overnight stays, in some cases also one or more additional services. In addition to rail travel offers to European cities (BahnCity hit), the ÖBB Rail Tours product range also includes international adventure rail travel such as B. Traveling on the Trans-Siberian Railway. The brand is particularly well known for its inexpensive package deals for numerous events on the Austrian event scene - most recently the World Ski Championships in 2013 , where ÖBB was involved in mobility management, and other winter sports events, or major concerts and stage events - as well as in constant direct cooperation with the Tourism organizations ( e.g. winter sports combined tickets in cooperation with 20 Austrian ski areas).

In 2012, the product portfolio was also expanded to include combination tickets . Depending on the product line (winter sports, cultural enjoyment, family fun, summer dreams and Advent), a combined ticket can be used to purchase a train ride including ski pass or leisure activities (museum admission, boat trip, etc.) at a package price.

In 2014, the transport capacity was just under 150,000 people.
