The Austrian Society for Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care Medicine (ÖGARI) is a medical association for the promotion of anesthesiology. The five pillars of the society are anesthesiology , intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, pain therapy and palliative medicine. The aim is to optimize the supply of the general public in this area. The association had more than 1,600 full members in 2018.

The society promotes regular education and training as well as the research work of its members. Supporting young doctors during their training in the specialist area is also part of the association's activities.

ÖGARI is a non-profit association that is not designed for profit. The company is based in Vienna, and its field of activity extends across Austria. ÖGARI is involved in the international umbrella organizations WFSA and ESA.

Klaus Markstaller has been President of ÖGARI since March 2019.
