Patrick Salomon (born June 10, 1988 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

At the age of five Salomon began playing football in the youth department of Floridsdorfer AC . At the age of ten he moved to the offspring of FK Austria Wien , with whom he stayed for four years. In 2002 he returned to his home club Floridsdorfer AC, where at the age of 16 he secured a place on the combat team that played in the Vienna Regional League (fourth level).

In summer 2008 Salomon moved to SC Austria Lustenau . On July 11, 2008, he came in the first game of the season in the 0-2 defeat at SV Grödig in the 71st minute of play for Mirza Bjalava and made his professional debut. He secured a regular place as a defensive midfielder and played all championship games of the 2008/09 season. He scored his first professional goal on November 11, 2009 in the 4-2 away win of the Lustenauer at FC Wacker Innsbruck in the first minute with the goal to make it 1-0.

In spring 2009, Salomon was the new team manager Andreas Herzog of the U-21 team appointed to the team squad, where he 3 June 2009 at 1: 0 victory was in Bulgaria his team debut. On September 17, 2009 he was named YoungStar of the Month for August 2009 by patron Herbert Prohaska .

In 2010 Salomon went to FK Austria Wien for two seasons and then returned to Austria Lustenau. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he moved to the Bundesliga club SCR Altach .

For the 2018/19 season he switched to league rivals SV Mattersburg . After two seasons in Burgenland, in which he made 49 Bundesliga appearances, he moved to Atromitos Athens in Greece for the 2020/21 season , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
