Ieva Simonaitytė Public District Library Klaipėda

The Ieva Simonaitytė Public District Library Klaipėda (lit. Klaipėdos apskrities viešoji Ievos Simonaitytės biblioteka ) is a public library in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda . It bears the name of the Lithuanian writer Ieva Simonaitytė and has belonged to the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania (previously the Klaipėda District ) since 2010 . The establishment of the regional library was initiated in 1950 in Soviet Lithuania . The library was founded in 1952. There has been a music literature department since 1963 and a children's literature department since 1968. Since 1984 it has been led by the director Juozas Šikšnelis.
