Wilhelm Stephan Dahlbom (* 1855 in Lund , † 1928 in Snogeröd ) was a Swedish painter .

Life

The son of the entomologist Anders Gustaf Dahlbom studied at the art academy in Stockholm , traveled to Italy, Germany and France for further training (stay in Paris). He then settled in Sweden (Ringsjön) and devoted himself mainly to landscape painting . His motifs are: forest, coasts of central Sweden and Skåne. The beech forest is one of his most popular motifs. Dahlbom also painted some altarpieces.

His works are represented in the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm, the Malmö Konstmuseum and the Swedish portrait collection at Gripsholm Castle .
