The Austrian Society for Historical Education and School History (ÖGHPS) is based in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee . It is closely associated with the University of Klagenfurt , in particular with the work area school pedagogy and historical educational research (department head Gerald Grimm).
Christian Pirker has been President of the Austrian Society for Historical Education and School History since 2020 . The previous presidents were Walter Schöler and Elmar Lechner .
The Austrian Society for Historical Pedagogy and School History is the operator of the Klagenfurt School Museum and the Virtual School Museum as well as co-editor of the retrospectives on education . The annual conference on pedagogical and educational history statements has been held since 2013 for the seventh time in 2019. By definition, no electronic aids may be used at this conference.
