Austrian Hockey Bundesliga (hall, men)

The Austrian men's indoor hockey league is the highest division in Austrian indoor hockey . The organization of the league is the responsibility of the Austrian Hockey Association (ÖHV). The master qualifies as an Austrian representative for the indoor hockey European Cup of the following season.

mode

The league consists of six teams. They first play a basic round, consisting of a home and away game against the other teams. The first four have qualified for the Indoor Masters since 2001. The first and fourth as well as the second and third of the basic round each play a semi-finals. The winners play for the championship title in the final. Third place will not be played out to the best placed in the basic round who did not reach the final. Furthermore, the last two of the regular season play to stay in the league. These relegation games take place between the fifth placed in the Bundesliga and the runner-up in men's B , as well as the sixth-placed in the Bundesliga and the first-placed in men's B. The winners are entitled to take part in the Bundesliga for the following season.

Indoor Masters and Relegation

This year the Indoor Masters was organized by SV Arminen in the Theodor Kramer School. The semi-finals took place on Friday, January 29, 2016. The final took place on Saturday, January 30th, 2016. The relegation games also took place on January 30th as part of the Indoor Masters. For the fourth time in a row, the champion is SV Arminen. In the final against the WAC , the regular season winner was only 1: 4 behind. Eight goals in the second half helped SV Arminen to their 23rd title in the club's history. Third place went to Post SV due to its better placement in the regular round . In the relegation, the first division clubs were able to maintain their place in the Bundesliga. Both games ended relatively clearly, even though HC Wels still led 1-0.

Indoor Masters and Relegation

This time, the relegation games did not take place as part of the Indoor Masters, as usual, but were only played in February. Here you could post SV maintain its place Bundesliga. HC Wiener Neudorf, on the other hand , had to admit defeat to Westend , the second SV Arminen team . Due to the preparations of the men's nation team for the FIH Hockey World League 2 and the 2015 indoor hockey world championship, the indoor masters was already played on December 20 and 21, 2014 in Wiener Stadthalle B. SV Arminen prevailed against AHTC in the final, after 4: 4 regular playing time and extra time, 7: 6 in the shoot out.
