Eddie Connolly

Eddie Connolly (* 18th November 1876 in Saint John , Canada , † 1936 ) was a Canadian boxer in the welterweight division . He was managed by Billy Roche .

Professional career

Connolly decided his debut fight on April 3, 1894 against George Addison on points for himself. On June 5, 1900, he competed against Matty Matthews for the linear world title and won over 25 rounds by unanimous decision of the judges.

Connolly already lost this title in his next fight against Rube Ferns in a 25-round battle in the 15th round due to technical knockout.

The 1.74 m tall Canadian ended his career in 1904.
