The member associations of the independent Austrian High Seas Association represent and look after over 5000 Austrian sailors .

activities

  • Promotion and support in the practice of ocean yachting. This also includes the promotion of cruising sailing, motor yachting at sea and private offshore yachting tourism in all its forms.
  • A good common representation of the interests of all members of the high seas association, the Austrian ocean yacht athletes, the cruising sailors, motor yacht drivers, the private yacht tourists and Austrian seafarers.
  • The promotion of a good nautical education and the support in the quality assurance of the Austrian certificates of proficiency for maritime shipping.
  • The organizational unification of the largest possible number of Austrian ocean-going yachtsmen and a networking and joint presentation of the range of services offered by the member clubs of the High-Seas Association.
  • The Hochseeverband is a recognized testing organization of the BMVIT for all sport boat driving licenses (ICC)
