Austrian Federal Network for Sport Psychology
The Austrian Federal Network for Sports Psychology ( ÖBS ) is a non-profit association that offers methods and diagnostics in sports psychology for top Austrian athletes , teams, trainers and sports psychologists. The ÖBS was initiated in 2005 by Günter Amesberger and Christopher Willis; the constituent assembly took place on January 10, 2006. The association has around 120 members and is part of the European Association for Sport Psychology FEPSAC .
Club structure
The Austrian Federal Network for Sport Psychology works with four full-time employees in three so-called competence centers: in Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck. Projects can be supervised and carried out by both employees and members.
Supervisory board
The ÖBS has a supervisory board composed of representatives from the following organizations:
- Federal Ministry of Defense and Sport (BMLVS)
- “Team Rot-Weiss-Rot”, the BMLVS funding program for top-class sport
- Federal Ministry for Science, Research and Economy
- Federal Ministry for Education and Women
- Austrian sport aid
- Federal Sports Promotion Fund
In addition, the regular members of the association are represented by one person on the supervisory board.

The ÖBS is partly financed by the Austrian Ministry of Sports .
