Inter-company training

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under inter-company training ( ÜBA ; other common names: inter-company training ( exercise and song ), inter-company apprenticeship training ( ÜLU )) refers to training components, which are used by trainees from different companies, because the individual companies are unable to provide even these training components. Inter-company training is firmly anchored in the dual training system of German vocational training as part of the in-company training phases.

Section 5 of the Vocational Training Act and Section 26 of the Crafts and Trades Code stipulate that “parts of the vocational training are carried out in suitable facilities outside the training facilities if and to the extent that the vocational training requires it”.

Due to increasing specialization and increasing competition in the companies , they are no longer able to impart all the skills and knowledge to a trainee that are part of his training occupation according to the training regulations . For this reason, the guilds and chambers have set up inter-company workshops in which the trainees of the member companies take part in job-specific courses. Inter-company training promotes the systematisation of in-company training (systematisation function). It supplements in-company training with a specialized production and service structure (supplementary function) and supports the transfer of new technologies to small and medium-sized companies (transfer function).

Through the use of practical and action-oriented training methods, inter-company training increases the quality of in-company training. The courses last around three to four weeks a year and include full working hours. Attendance at vocational school as part of dual training is only affected to a limited extent.

In the construction industry, inter-company training is of particular importance. Due to the constant change of construction sites, no permanent teaching and learning workshops can be set up here. For this reason, the construction industry has set up a large number of inter-company training centers at which the trainees are instructed in 26 weeks of their training period. The training regulations for the relevant occupations explicitly stipulate this high proportion of inter-company training.
